Good morning Hybrid riders,
I am in the process of purchasing a new bike since my wallmart bike is ready for retirement.
I had initially narrowed it down to a Giant Seek 0 but have had a coule more test drives that has made my decision much harder.
1) 2012 Fuji Absolute 2.0
http://www.fujibikes.com/bike/details/absolute-20-usa3
Test drive results: On the positive side it felt very quick and it was a lot of fun to ride. It also did'nt hurt that this was the second best looking bike after the Seek. The negatives are the seat and grips did not provide sufficient comfort. The bike also felt unconfident if the road became less then perfectly mooth. The price for this bike is $900 canadian taxes in with lifetime tune-ups.
2) 2011 specialized sirrus elite

The Sirrus soaked up little bumps in the road much better then the Fuji did and it felt very comfortable. The grips are awsome and the seat was good although it was not a long ride.
The downside of this bike is that it felt like a boring ride it did not provide the excitement of the Fuji or the looks. The price for this 2011 model is $800 taxes in and only comes with 2 free tuneups.
3) 2011 specialized sirrus elite disc

I did not yet have a chance to test drive this bike but I assume it would more or less be like the Sirrus Elite with better brakes.
The price is also $800 taxes in with 2 free tuneups thrown in.
I would like to get your opinion as this forum seems knowledgeable in dealing with hybrids.
I have only ever owned big box store bikes in the past so I am not that familiar with the components and if they are worth the price being asked.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you !
