Shop around online. You might be able to pick up 105s for not a lot more. I only paid $10 more for my 105s than I did for my 540s. $55 as opposed to $45. The 540s are on my back-up/rain bike.
+1. The 105's are quite a bit nicer and possible to find for just a bit more.
