hello everyone, in 1979 I purchased a new 12 speed Panasonic sport deluxe, rode it a little for a year or two. A couple of weeks ago i got it out of storage, removed the slight bit of rust on the rims and took it to Performance bikes for new tires. The mechanic there thought the bike was in very good shape, put on new tires, oiled some parts and said the bike was ready to be ridden. I have put a couple of hundred miles on the bike (everything seems fine]. I have run across an add for a brand new set of Vuelta Zerolites that someone is selling. He said he had them made by the lbs for is vintage 27' cannondale twelve speed. Should I buy these wheels for any reason? Will my old wheels fail soon? Will it improve my riding experience. I am 5 11 and 190 # and am only riding on smooth, paved paths. I think I can buy the rims along with the new tires on them for $100. Should I do it? Thanks in advance
