Problem with visors is they give you neck ache on the road.

Must be all that additional weight.

Rode MTB's for many years and a visor is necessary to stop mud and crud getting in the eyes. Doesn't stop it but does stop most of it. However when I changed to road- I started getting neck ache. Cured it by taking the visor off so I did not have to lift my head up to look below it. But I did miss it with our UK Weather and road dirt from the bike in front is just as bad on the eyes. Last helmet I got and it does have a small peak fitted that is unobtrusive and works just as well as the larger ones I used to have.
