See, now you understand what I'm up against. I didn't even know enough to include the most basic information. The crank arms are Shimano 600. But, since I am fairly sure the rings have been changed (the catalog I found online says Biopace were standard--these are not) I don't know what other modifications may have already been done.
I can do brake/derailleur adjustments and change tires/tubes but when it comes to serious mechanic work I am a complete Newb. If someone asks me why type of cranks I have my answer would be "silver".
I have a caliper so I can measure the spindle length. I will take photos and include them tomorrow. Stay tuned. . .
