My tires and frame are fairly slim. I measured and I would have around 2 1/2 inches of free space to go to the post. It may be a tight snug on most things, probably bound to give the bike some un needed scratches wouldn't it.

I think I have a rack on a really old bike of mines that I could use. Do you have a NY by any chance ckaspar? Is the extra weight and size worth the security and peace at mind that you gain going with something like the NY
