I like the NY STD lock just fine. It is plenty solid! It's big enough that I can lock to lots of things. I carry a cable too just in case I am stuck with a big tree or column or whatever.

Thing is, if you have a really nice bike and leave it locked up in the same place regularly, somebody just might notice and decide to haul their angle grinder out. Maybe try to vary the place you lock it. I have covered up most of the markings on my bike so it would be hard for anybody to look it up on the internet. Nobody is going to recognize it on sight, but somebody might get curious!
