Here's the real tragic aspect to doping across the board. It casts suspicion on any outstanding athletic performance. Too good and some will think 'doping'. And who can blame them?

A guy who works hard like Gary and achieves steadily improving results over a long period of time doesn't raise my eyebrows. A guy who was pack fodder for the last few years and who is now in the breakaway every Sunday, maybe that guy does. But either way, the real shame is that any of us have think twice about that in amateur racing, that good people do for fun, fitness, and deeper personal and even spiritual reasons. The minute you dope you're pissing in the spring water. Gary is right, it really, really sucks. People like the BF members here who do it train far to hard to have to worry about that crap. But there it is.

Look at it this way boys: it's another thing you have in common with pro athletes.
