Campy has the advantage that if the brake lever is left open the brakes work just fine, you just need to pull the lever a little harder. With the other groups, you would need to get of the bike and close the brake lever for it to work.
Same hardness. You just need to pull it farther because the release let it pop out to a rest position farther forward. Not an issue at all on the hoods; might be a problem with very small hands in the drops.
