A quick search for Superbe bottom bracket gave me several hits on eBay. Why not keep it original or at least age confirm?
Because the bicycle is going to be used as a commuter back and forth between high school and home and everywhere in between; being used by a 17 year old who wants index shifting and doesn't want to deal with the "shift-by-feel". This Paramount has had enough time hanging on a wall, and will be put back into service as a "good-old fashioned" bicycle. Here is the bike in it's original state.

I had sold the bike and bought it back, however the new owner had the frame cold set to 126MM so we are running with it
