Well unless he's taking NSAID like ibuprofen because that combined with alcohol increase the risk of ulcer. Conversely, taking ibuprofen with caffeine can increase the effectiveness of ibuprofen. Note I said ibuprofen; acetaminophen combined with caffeine can be toxic.
