Yeah, it does look like a pretty big chip of just primer and clear coat. My worries are of stress cracks and the "flick sound check" is pointless since that BB area typically doesnt make the hollow sound on any carbon fiber frame. I think I will just sand it and fill in the chip. My heart aches. Wanted to sell the frame for a new tarmac I saw on my lbs. I will if no one has input of accidental experience, I will go ahead with the repair. Now I know why this frame was no longer in production by 07
