Bikes: '09 Jamis Komodo, '09 Mirraco Blend One, '08 Cervelo P2C, '08 Specialized Ruby Elite, '07 Yeti AS-R SL, '07 DMR Drone

1) Height and inseam aren't enough information to size a bike. It's a start, but that's it. It doesn't sound like this is a surprise present, so let him try out these bikes and see what fits.
2) Those bikes are all different sizes.
3) Some of those bikes are ooold. I'm seeing ancient geometry, quill stems, cantis, etc. The Jamis is a 2004 Jamis Durango SX and the Trek is a 2000 Trek 6000, and they're the newest. If it were me, and both bikes ft and were in about the same condition, I'd go Jamis. Trek has slightly nicer components, but Jamis is 4 years newer and while the discs that come on the bike aren't fantastic, at least it's disc brake compatible, something that probably can't be said for the rest of those bikes. Those are probably the only two from that list that I'd even consider, actually.
