As many of you may know, I've been having plenty of flats on my 1981 Free Spirit Pinnacle lately, and haven't been able to repair it. It's been collecting dust from a "snake bit" tube in May.

The tire on there currently is a Gum-Wall Chen Shing Rubber tire. It says to pump it up to 90PSI, but since it's on a steel rim (which I found out after pumping it up to 90 PSI once and experiencing a blowout.) I know the tire's causing the problems as the tube is "snake bit" and can't be inflated over 75 PSI due to the steel rim. My front tire is rated at 70 PSI. The Chen Shing replaced a old "Golden Boy" which was factory-installed.

So does anyone know where I can find a 27x1[SUP]1[/SUP]/[SUB]4[/SUB] tire rated for under 75 PSI? If so, can you tell me where and/or give me a link so I can "see" the tire?

BTW, if you're wondering why I'm so mad about the flats - the person who installed the dumb tire guaranteed "no flats for a lifetime." That was a lie because I got a flat in the first week!
