I must be doing something wrong then. When I use it to get my friend's tires to 60 psi the pump gets HOT to the touch. I was originally content with the Road Morph until I got a floor pump. Floor pump is so much easier, I can't even imagine not having it.
Mine gets sorta hot when I'm pumping to over 100psi, but not so much to burn or anything.
As far as using the Road Morph as my main pump: I figure if it starts getting too difficult, it means I'm really slacking on the push-ups...
