Sounds like you have found the wrong club. Our A group will drop people but the B group will be following and pick them up. Rides are posted and a map is made the day before. If someone does get dropped someone will ride sweep to pick them up and deliver them to a regroup point. That from my experiance is pretty much standard practice with most clubs. But unlike you I have been chicked before.

That's pretty much the way my club (Thread City Cyclers of Willimantic, CT) operates. Our B ride regroups whenever a gap gets too big. We usually ride 40-50 mi. at around 15 mph with 2-3,000 ft. of climbing and have a good social event going. A lot of fun on a Saturday morning.
