Dan Miller,
Why not state your budget, what you want the bike to do, the size that you need, and the city/market that you're in? That way, the BF members can scour YOUR craigslist and make recommendations. If you're stuck at the $125-130 range, you'll need to act fast to pick up the best bike for your money. You will have local competition, and won't have the luxury of asking a forum for advice - you'll have to move out.

Purpose For Bike =
Desired Size (Or Dimension of Rider) =

These would help as the place to start a thread. Several people like Schwinn bikes, but those folks would target a little higher in the Schwinn lineup for good value. I prefer Fujis, and consistently find good riding bikes in your price range - these turn out to be excellent bikes. Others like French bikes from the late 70s and early-to-mid 80s like Motobecane or Peugeot. Still others prefer Japanese made Bianchis from the 1980s.

Good luck.
