Don't get extreme here. If your bike is too big for you, then do what you have to do. But, I would not consider changing the frame just so you can be more comfortable on the hoods. As has been mentioned, fit and stretching are important. However, if the interrupters make you more comfortable and therefore will encourage you to ride more...do it. I would not use them as a crutch to not getting the right fit and getting used to using the hoods, though.
