Ok, if your LBS sucks (many of them do, as they're in the business of selling cheap mass-produced hybrids to the masses), here's another place to go to when you need to find out about bikes:

After you do your research on that site and some googling inspired by the info you get from there, you'll be able to ask the right questions and be better prepared for the answers you need to get instead of the answers you want to hear.
