Friday night racing at the San Diego Velodrome:

I won my first race tonight (C's and D's but hey, everyone starts somewhere...) 7 lap scratch race... I took a flyer with about two and a half to go and opened up a pretty good gap. The boys gave me a little bit too much rope and I somehow managed to stay away for the win.

The tempo and points races that followed were much less eventful as it was all I could do to just try and sit in... I know that it's a small victory, but the celebratory grilled hot dog tasted fantastic....
