Friend, I think you are missing it. Nothing is average - and we don't get rain in buckets, it drizzles and drips, and is foggy and chilly. I rode more in November this past year than I did in April. Clearly, May is sometimes better than April, which is usually better than November, but you just don't know. Plan on wet and cool all but July-September, you might have it right with that perspective.
