Have to disagree. 1981 was the last year for the clamp on DT's. Also, Rekord disappeared from the catalog after 1981. In addition, this frame has the bottle cage bolts brazed into the frame. The 1979 Rekord did not have brake cable guides. This one does. In my mind, this brackets the frame in the 79-80 time frame. Also, I have to think that the Rekord number, i.e., 842, 845, has to mean something in terms of progression.
