I just don't think I'd like that riding position. I do like walking. We walked the dog today, a couple of miles, up and down hills. Not the workout a bike ride is, but any exercise makes me feel better (my sore end notwithstanding). Once my pain calms down the walking should not aggravate it.
The ride position is low which is not great but it is more areo. I would rather ride a real bike but I rather be alive than dead and wonder how fast you could get a recumbent to go? To me a recumbent is different and interesting I would want to try one just to see what it is like.
Walking the dog with the wife is nice but it is not serious exercise.
