Hey guys,

I have a Gary Fisher Mako I picked up a couple years ago brand new. Was out riding trails today and totally messed up the rear derailleur. I broke a tooth on one of the gears and now it definitely needs replacement. I'm just curious what unit would you guys replace it with? Below are some specs of the Shimano. Would like to get one that could stand some abuse if that's possible..

Also, curious what kind of job it is to replace? Would it be as easy as taking the old one off and installing the new piece, or do dimensions need to be considered. Gauging if I should take it to a local shop or attempt the change myself.
