Oh I see, since I am a cyclist and this guy got into a tragic accident, I am supposed to put aside form and just open my wallet?

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I don't give to "charity" for people I don't know, or causes I don't agree with or believe in. You are right, however, let people do as they please and give where they will. If there are members here who wish to give to the cause then power to you for posting. Best of luck to you as well.

Edit- Just in case you were wondering why and where I come from saying this. First off, I am a self professed ******* and I call them like I see them. IMO, this forum was created with larger, established charitable rides in mind. IE, the American Lung Association is putting on a ride and given their track record with donations to (certain) causes, then I may (or may not) support the ride, hearing about it here. You, on the other hand, are the victims friend. I have no idea who you are, and what your track record will be for "charity". It doesn't mean it is any less of a good cause to you, and certainly is good to hear that this incident got you motivated to be involved in aspects of cycling safety and advocacy.
I should be glad that you are here, utilizing the forum for your needs. Perhaps, in a few years I will come across you again, and be able to make a decision based upon your track record for giving back to cycling.
