Let's just assume that this is a legitimate post...

I agree with my friend bjorn, I would increase my total stable and have a couple of respectable rigs to show for it.

This is my opinion and, therefore, completely unfounded and not too relevant to anyone else's life or values... but I believe that there is a certain price point where the yields are so insignificant that spending that extra ching is superfluous. The only folks that really will be able to differentiate the value of an 8 grand and a 3 grand bike are typically not the folks who would have to spend that kind of cash (i.e., only sponsored riders would really be able to get the yield out of such a bike... and even then, its dubious). That said, and I will always loudly profess this, cycling is about PASSION... and if a person has the fortitude to save that many dimes, get the bike that makes you crave it!!!

So, to answer your question of what would I do with the 8 grand... I would get the same carbon bike that I recently purchased, get Sacha White to build me a steel single speed (do you hear me Mr. White, I am a fan and I am coming for ya ), and go OCP with the accessories...
