It's a hot, sunny, humid day. The sweat is pouring off of me as I scream up the nasty hill on the approach to the River Trail. My heart is pounding but I held 14 mph all the way up that gnarly stretch which is a big improvement from ever before.

Now, as I fly down to the boardwalk accross the marshy portion of the basin I spy these wise creatures. They appear so content to just soak up the greatness of this bright sunny day that they give me pause to wonder....who's the smart one in this basin today? Is it the fool tearing up the trail on the long black steel machine or the ones who are peacefully enjoying the day on logs and lilly pads?
