Re: 126mm hubs for 6-speed freewheels only.....Usually true, but I think a trick sometimes used was to respace and recenter a six-speed hub for use with a 5-speed freewheel. That way the dish was reduced on the rear wheel to make it stronger. My Holdsworth is set up this way.
