I think it's worth it. While folded, you only gain about an inch on one side, since the other pedal still doesn't go past the handlepost on the other side. You save time and energy by not having to worry about folding the pedals, and they just look way cooler than any folding pedals out there, haha. Also, I cut my hand when I unfolded the Suntour ones because of the spring in it. No longer a problem.
