Why do I feel that book comment was directed at me. Am I being overly sensitive here?

Diabetes runs in my family. I am aware of how to keep it from potentially coming on. I know that when I limit carbs my energy levels drop and I can become irritable. I would bonk, you may not. I also know what it feels like when my insulin levels spike from too many sugars because I become very tired and look for the closest place to take a nap. Focus on combining healthy fats, complex carbs, and proteins and you may be able to control fast rises in blood sugar. I feel that cutting out carbs completely or to a low level is a drastic measure that should only be used if combining foods does not help.
