I stop for stop lights all the time, and having someone (who actually stopped for a stop light themselves) tell me how unusual for them to see a cyclist stopping for a signal light, in turn does not give me carte blanche to roll every signal light that I may encounter. Besides, our local stoplights are spaced far enough apart to help keep up my average commute speed, but still give me a chance to take a much need rest, especially when I'm working fast moving traffic.
