Heck, I roll up to them, slow down, look to make sure the coast is clear and then ride on. The only times I actually stop would be when visibility approaching the intersection is limited and I'm unable to determine whether it's safe to proceed or not and if there is traffic approaching and proceeding would be unsafe.

I used to stop for signals and wait, but then one day a guy in a car next to me rolled down his window and commented on how he'd never seen anyone on a bicycle actually stop for a traffic signal. I figured "Heck, why should I be the only guy that does?"
Uh, to set a good example as well as to show that the rules of the road also apply to bicycles.
