The files made by the GoPro are very big. The first thing I do is convert them down to more compact .mpg files. I use VideoPad editing program to convert, stitch, snip, and add titles. If you don't have a stout computer with lots of storage and memory this will all be a problem for you. Using most editing programs takes some practice because they aren't terribly intuitive to work with.
