HTFU and ride it fixed until I can afford a geared road bike in the spring.

OR

Add a freewheel and some levers/hoods, maybe the ability to coast down the hills, and ride on the hoods instead of in my drops will add enough comfort to get me over the hump on some of the longer rides?
