I have three kids...7, 5 and 3 weeks old. I guess I probably don't train like some of the hardcore members on this board, but I carve out 1-2 hours every night to get my rides in. My wife understands that I need this time for exercise, stress relief and solitude. I'm lucky that she understands the value in this activity and gives me that time. If for some reason I need to be home and cover for her with the kids during that time, I'll throw my bike on my trainer and do an hour while I also keep an eye on the kids. On weekends, I get up at dawn and do my long ride as the sun comes up and am usually home by late morning. I guess it depends on your goals. My goal is to stay physically fit, reduce stress and take on a few centuries a year. This routine allows me to do this.
