Check out the Osprey Escapist series, if you don't need a padded laptop compartment. Lots of bike specific features, and a great mesh back panel.

I think we have a winner! From everything I've seen this looks perfect. I'm thinking the 20L will be just right for what I need. From what everyone says Osprey has great quality and durability so that's good. Thank you very much for the recommendation. Thanks to everyone else for the help, advice, and recommendations also.
