None.
Most road bikes max out at about 700x28. I could probably squeeze a 1.75" tire on my Soma cross bike, but it would be tight.

Cross bikes usually have studs for cantilever or v-brakes. Disc brakes are becoming more common too.
Road bikes typically have standard caliper brakes which will limit your tire size even if the frame has clearance.
