Agreed. Cars are a lot louder than people think. The only time I have trouble hearing cars behind me is when I'm crossing a bridge over a freeway. The freeway road noise blocks out tire/engine noise from the road I'm on. But in that case, I make sure to look over my shoulder multiple times (no mirror yet) before and after crossing the bridge.
