Now at a sit down restaurant, where the bike may be out of view for a while, that is a different situation, that requires proper locking, with a bike rack or really suitable good solid anchored something.
I do find it annoying that these places still insist on the "insurance" excuse... do they let motorcycles through the drive in? If so then their excuse is BS. Motorcycles going through drive ins have no more safety or protection than a bicyclist.
The flip side is if you do have to go in, just remove a wheel and bring it with you... quick chain the rest of the bike to itself or something to protect the frame from being lifted.
Gene,
What difference does it make of it's a "fast food" restaurant, or a "traditional sit down" restaurant? Both cater to the public, therefore or behooves them not to alienate potential customers.
