I had a buddy of mine quote me the cost on making replacement parts...more than a new hub. What I cannot understand is why the OEM manufacturer doesn't make spare parts available. I know that labor costs to rebuild a hub could be high, but there are plenty of people that would buy the parts if available, because they do their own repairs. One shop I know of in Seattle specializes in rebuilding IG hubs, but can't get parts. If a hub goes bad you have the cost of the replacement hub and the cost of building it into a wheel. Poor economics IHMO.
