We will be taking a 400+ mile bike tour (van carrying our luggage and lunch). We begin in mid-September in Portland, Maine and to go Gloucester, MA and then ride back to Portland where we began. What kind of clothing and rain gear would be typical "must have" on the bike each day? We've never been in this area at all. Do we need to carry a full set of rain gear on the bike every day or just watch the weather report and take the rain jacket only if the forecast warrants it. I assume arm warmers, leg warmers and a vest for the mornings?
