I too have MKS pedals that felt tight going in. I just used a bit more grease on the Threads. I also had to adjust the bearing preload, way too tight. For greasing pedals, I have a single MKS end cap I've drilled a small hole, and use a small pin point grease gun. Works great when it's time for a bit of servicing.

It is sort of like how the old platform pedals were BITS which had an oiling hole.
