Checking in from Thibodaux, LA...

The eye passed right over us a few hours ago, moving very slowly and bringing a LOT of wind, but not much rain. We were out of power for about 8 hours. South Terrebonne and Plaqumines parishes aren't doing too well, some flooding and more severe wind damage. N.O. had a lot of wind for a long time, knocked out a lot of power lines and trees.

Most of the houses on our street had minor roof damage, nothing major that I know of in Lafourche or north Terrebonne. Thanking God it didn't strengthen more than it did. Wind is still blowing outside, been a full 24 hours now... getting tired of it!
