This should clue you in - the noise is coming from where the spokes cross.

Take a thin but strong cloth and clean the grit/grime from between each spoke crossing by flossing the cloth between them. You may have to gently pry the spokes apart with your fingers to make clearance for the rag. That should solve your issue.
