Idea for DIY MD80 Camera mount

Hello everyone,

I was fiddling around with the MD80 camera I had purchase off eBay a while back trying to find a suitable mount and I came up with the following idea after dumping all the cycling parts onto my desk...

First things you need is a MD80 (compatible) camera off eBay like the following unit:

Then you'll need a base off a cheap rear blinker (either seatpost mount or chainstay mount depending on where you want to install the camera):

Here's my idea in images:

The tabs on the MD80's base slide snugly into the lights tab and can be either glued together or using a small bolt/nut combination. I will need to trim the base of the MD80 which protrudes, but other than that, the mount should be stable enough to keep the camera steady and should be ready for installing onto (almost) anywhere on the bike. I would definitely recommend putting a small rubber band or maybe a velcro stip around the MD and it's base so that it doesn't pop out while riding.

I would appreciate any ideas that can improve on this mount!
