I have one of these conversions.
Used a small bmx crank to fix the clearance problem but am still working on the brakes, only front disc for now, will proly buy A2Z disc bracket for the rear...only $40 and quick fix to the brake and smaller wheel problem.
I was thinking about those A2Z disk adapters, but you have to be very careful whether they will work with your dropouts and hub.
