Actually, a new stem would be more than a new helmet. Helmet cost me about $60 and stem was about $80. That being said, I could flip my stem to have more of a rise. I could also raise the stem since I haven't cut my steerer tube yet. I'm still in the process of tweaking my fit right now. I'm not entirely convinced that's the best option though, as the bike seems pretty comfortable other than the helmet issue.
