Its not about easy 'sensible' solutions, its about wild and wacky solutions, preferably ones that involve welding, grinding or at least sourcing obscure parts from distant corners of the globe so you can use them in a manner that the designer never intended, all to solve a problem that wasn't really a problem in the first place.
