I knew a lady in Providence RI, and she drove a 1974, I think, Bill Blass Lipstick Edition? Lincoln MkIV (again, I'm not up on the year or the exact model name). It was gorgeous, as was she. A man with "connections" approached her and really wanted to buy her car. He tried several times. She always declined, but he knew, deep down, to her it was just a car.

One day, it was stolen. She was more inconvenienced than anything. She got used to her new car, a Cadillac, in short order. As he knew, her main attraction to the Lincoln was that someone else wanted it. He approached her to buy the car, again. She explained that it had been stolen, but if it was recovered, she'd make sure he got first dibs through her insurer. It turned up quickly, missing the dual exhausts, and her carrier sold it to him for the high bid.

So, steal it, I guess.
