alright thanks all..

i would walk it but i work 45hrs per week on my feet and like to either sit down in a chair or on my bike while i'm not working.. a cab that distance here would probably be about $15 each way + tip, but i'd want to be absolutely sure my mechanic is working (don't trust anyone else)

the chain is screwed up, but it'd get me there.. i was using a crappy nashbar chaintool and it seems to have bent the plate and it also didn't push the little plug all the way in (now it wont line up right)... i can ride it in present condition to the shop for the chain..

just wasn't sure if i should throw tires/tubes on these new wheels, throw them on the bike and make that part of the trip.. also a limited time before work, and if they say i'll have to drop it off i'll just have to turn around ride them back home in present condition.

i can also rent a car via a car-sharing program i'm a part of, (prob. $20) but then while i'm at the shop the clock is ticking and costing me money (not to mention i have to illegally park at mcdonalds and then pull my bike out and run away ha)..

the shop opens in 40 min. i think i'll give it a go and put these wheels on.. hell, if my mech says their junked i'll ship them back..

only problem with returning the wheels is the ebay seller is making me pay for return shipping, which for a set of wheels i'd assume is what $30-$45?!?!
